About me

My name is Danny Savitzky. I’m a second-semester freshman at USC who enjoys everything sports: I’m an intramural basketball and soccer referee, I’m a copy editor and sports blogger for the Daily Trojan, and I broadcast USC sports games for KSCR.
I wasn’t born into a basketball family, and as such I didn’t follow the NBA until the 2004-2005 season when I started watching the Nets (dreadful after the departure of Kenyon Martin and Kerry Kittles). The season picked up after the blockbuster trade for Vince Carter from Toronto, though, and I’ve loved the NBA ever since. And yes. The again-dreadful Nets are still my favorite team.

Danny, you are my hero. The Nets are so rad. Same with the Trojans. All they need is some 3 wins and they makin infamy break fast like flapjacks and bacon.

must say though, the nets? cmon now lol

    • Well, I moved to NJ when I was 6 and lived there until I was 18. I’ve always been a Yankee fan, too, so when I started seeing Nets games on the YES Network, I figured it was the logical team to follow. And we’re going to bounce back next year, by the way.
